NEW YORK, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Serena Williams destroyed Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki 6-2 6-4 in the U.S. Open semi-finals on Saturday to join Australia's Sam Stosur in the final at Flushing Meadows.
Williams, in the early stages of a comeback from a series of health problems that kept her out of the game for almost a year, showed why she remains the most powerful and feared player in the women's game as she ruthlessly disposed of the world number one.
