Tien Minh shows rivals why he’s a contender for SEA Games gold

PETALING JAYA: Vietnam’s top shuttler Nguyen Tien Minh has put himself in the driving seat to win an individual goal medal at the Indonesia SEA Games, which will be held in November in Jakarta.

This is based on Tien Minh’s strong performances in two back-to-back international tournaments – Vietnam Open and the World Championships – over one month and it should serve as a warning for Malaysia’s back-up shuttlers Liew Daren, Chong Wei Feng and Chan Kwong Beng to buck up before the biennial Games.
