KUALA LUMPUR: In efforts to complete sports venues in time for the 2011 SEA Games, co-hosts Palembang, the capital city of South Sumatra, have virtually enforced a 24-hour work regime for its workers.
Malaysian contingent Chef-de-Mission to Palembang, Datuk Syed Mustaffa Syed Ali said organisers in Palembang had given their assurance to delegation members from participating countries that all venues would be ready before the start of the Games in November.
