PETALING JAYA: Malaysian swimmer Chui Lai Kwan beat the London Olympic qualifying mark in style by breaking her own national record in the women’s 50m freestyle in the World University Games (Universiade) at Shenzhen University yesterday.
Lai Kwan clocked 26.02 to improve on her national record of 26.03 previously set at the New Delhi Commonwealth Games last October as she put one foot towards realising her first Olympic appearance.
