KEMAMAN: Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said national athletes who qualify for the Olympics would receive higher monthly payments.
He said those who qualified for individual events would be paid RM2,000 a month unlike RM1,600 a month previously, while for team events, the rate had been raised from RM1,000 a month to RM1,600 monthly.
