SAINT-FLOUR, France (AP): Defending Tour de France champion Alberto Contador crashed during Sunday's ninth stage of the Tour de France.
The Spaniard lost his balance and fell heavily with about 120km (74.5 miles) left in the 208-kilometre (129.2-mile) trek from Issoire to Saint-Flour in France's Massif Central.
