CROMWELL, Connecticut (AP) - Fredrik Jacobson sank a 31-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to finish with a 63 at the Traveler's Championship on Saturday, taking a one-shot lead after his third consecutive bogey-free round.

The Swede's shot on 18 came after Bryce Molder had tied for the lead with a 38-foot birdie on No. 17. Molder finished at 15-under.

Jacobson has three wins in Europe, but none since joining the U.S. PGA Tour in 2003. Molder also is looking for his first win on the tour.

Nineteen-year-old amateur Patrick Cantlay had the lead after two rounds, but the low amateur at last week's U.S. Open bogeyed his final two holes to fall to 11 under and into a tie for 10th.

An amateur hasn't won a tour event since Phil Mickelson in the 1991 Northern Telecom Open in Arizona.
