KUALA LUMPUR: Shuttler D. Darren Isaac of Kuala Lumpur was the surprise omission from the squad for the Asean Schools Championships, which will be held in Singapore from July 3-9.
Although the 16-year-old Darren teamed up with Tan Wee Gieen to deliver the gold medal in the boys’ Under-18 doubles event at the national schools (MSSM) meet at the KL Badminton Hall in Cheras last month, only the latter has been picked for the trip to Singapore.
