Er Yang defies the odds as Negri sweep to four-gold haul in tennis

KUALA LUMPUR: Khoo Er Yang overcame the odds in the men’s singles tennis final as Negri Sembilan swept to a four-gold haul in the individual events at the National Tennis Centre in Jalan Duta yesterday.

Although Er Yang was the top seed, his opponent from Selangor, Juan Antonio Los Santos, held a 2-0 head-to-head record going into the match. But Er Yang turned the tables on Antonio, winning 6-3, 6-1.
