Proton R3 duo settle for fourth in second round of APRC

PETALING JAYA: Proton R3 rally driver Alister McRae and co-driver Bill Hayes had to be content with a fourth-place finish in the second round of the FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Cham_pionships (APRC) in Queensland yesterday.

McRae, who was leading the standings at the start of the final day with an eight-second advantage over Gaurav Gill of Team MRF, suffered a series of mishaps in his Proton Satria Neo S2000 to finish in 2’27:59.
