SEPANG: Meritus drivers Mohd Afiq Ikhwan and Akash Neil Nandy turned on some impressive performances over the weekend in the JK Racing Asia Series (JKRAS).
The series, formerly known as Formula BMW Pacific, attracted 18 drivers on the grid for the opening two races of the season and Afiq showed he has learnt from his rookie season a year ago by grabbing two runner-up spots while 14-year-old Akash, who is the youngest driver in the competition, earned his first points of his single seater career when he finished ninth on Sunday.
