Back-up shuttlers will be playing for a place in the elite squad

PETALING JAYA: With the men’s singles title almost as good as Lee Chong Wei’s, the National Circuit Grand Prix Finals beginning in Kuala Terengganu today will see the back-up shuttlers redirecting their efforts for a different cause.

The departure of Mohd Hafiz Hashim from the national set-up has left a void in the elite squad, which is to be filled by a suitable back-up player under the tutelage of coach Hendrawan.
