New limit rule may affect Malaysia’s chances in Asian meet

PETALING JAYA: A tactical move to limit the elite men cyclists to two events could result in a change of fortunes for Malaysia as they begin their campaign in the Asian Cycling Championships at the King’s 80th Anniversary Velodrome in Korat from today.

Guangzhou Asian Games gold medallist Azizulhasni Awang will be missing from the team sprint line-up on the opening day of competition. This is to enable him to be fully focused on the individual keirin and sprint.
