Dougherty all set for Dubai despite freak accident

DUBAI: British golfer Nick Dougherty is confident of being fit to take his place in this week’s Dubai Desert Classic despite suffering a “freakish” injury to his right wrist.

The newly-married Dougherty was treated by an on-course doctor early on Tuesday morning after he slipped and fell heavily on his right hand. Dougherty was seen leaving the Dubai Desert Classic medical office with his right lower wrist heavily strapped.
