Veep Yogeswaran quits MAAU, dares office bearers to follow him

KUALA LUMPUR: K. Yogeswaran quit as Malaysian Amateur Athletics Union (MAAU) vice-president yesterday and threw a dare to the other office bearers: Follow me if you have not done anything to revive the battered image of the national body.

His decision came in the wake of the bold move by eight disgruntled athletes in airing their grievances about the sad state of affairs in athletics to Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shaberry Cheek on Monday.
