Bright future ahead for Malaysian athletes


MALAYSIA enjoyed their best-ever outing in the Commonwealth Games series in New Delhi recently. Can one expect another high in the upcoming Asian Games in Guangzhou and in the 2012 London Olympics? The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) president, Tan Sri Tunku Imran Tuanku Jaafar, thinks that a bright future awaits Malaysian sport if stakeholders stay focused on the objectives. In the sixth and final Q & A session, held fortnightly on Thursday with The Star’s RAJES PAUL, he also urged all, even the sceptics, to rally support behind the athletes in the pursuit for excellence.
