DUBAI: American swimmer Fran Crippen died of a heart attack while taking part in the 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, Al-Ittihad daily reported yesterday.
Crippen’s “death was the result of a heart attack,” said Ibrahim Mohammed, the manager of the Fujairah International Marine Club, where the event was held, according to the daily.
