PETALING JAYA: The mechanical problems that dogged the Lotus Racing cars for most of the F1 races this year may be a thing of the past with the team announcing yesterday a deal with Red Bull Technology for the supply of gearboxes and hydraulic systems for next season and beyond.
Lotus will now use the same engine and gearbox combination as Red Bull Racing and team principal Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes said that it marked the next critical building block in the process of stepping up the team’s challenge in F1.
