MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay (AP): The governing body of world swimming on Monday selected Barcelona, Spain, to host the 2013 world championships.
FINA president Julio Maglione tells The Associated Press that Barcelona was picked because it had the infrastructure and the support of the national and local government. Barcelona hosted the world championships in 2003.
