PETALING JAYA: World champion Nicol David inched closer to her fifth successive Hong Kong Open squash championships crown after defeating Rachel Grinham of Australia in the semi-finals yesterday.

Playing in the glass court in the heart of Plaza Hollywood shopping mall in Kowloon, the world No. 1 Nicol edged Grinham in straight games, 11-9, 11-9, 11-5, in just 35 minutes.
