Ramlan defends decision to send shuttlers to train in Bath

KUALA LUMPUR: National Sports Council (NSI) director general Datuk Dr Ramlan Aziz has defended the decision to send the World Championships-bound shuttlers to train at Bath University in England.

He also stressed that national coach Misbun Sidek and world No. 1 shuttler Lee Chong Wei’s decision to skip the Bath stint should not be misconstrued as a move to undermine the collective efforts of the three major stakeholders – NSI, National Sports Council (NSC) and Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).
