Sarawak’s Jilom hopes to upstage older runners

SARAWAK’s Ambrose Jilom is only 18-years-old but he hopes to upstage the more experienced sprinters to get on the podium in the men’s 100m event, starting today at the Hang Jebat National Stadium.

The Sukma athletics competitions are for the Under-23 age-group but the Form Five student of Riam Road Secondary Chinese School in Miri feels confident of winning a medal after clocking a personal best of 10.71 to bag the MSSM (national schools) Under-18 gold in Johor Baru last month.
