SEOUL: South Korea will not provide North Korea with TV coverage of the World Cup, as tensions over the sinking of one of Seoul’s warships continue to simmer, a television station confirmed yesterday.
The impoverished communist state, which has qualified for the event for first time in 44 years, wanted the South to provide free footage as it did for the 2006 tournament in Germany.
