JOHANNESBURG: World Cup organisers say a singer who had been scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony has died after a short illness.
In a statement on Wednesday, the organisers said Siphiwo Ntshebe (pic) had been picked by former President Nelson Mandela to sing at the opening ceremony before the first game, on June 11.
