Fitri aims to keep up the momentum

PETALING JAYA: Modenas finally managed to break a Yamaha stronghold in the Wira category of the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championships through Mohd Fitri Ashraf Razali in the second round in Kluang last month.

And the Caviaga Cilik Racing rider aims to keep up the momentum and grab another chequered flag in the third round in Batu Kawan on Sunday.

Fitri is sharing top spot in the standings with Mohd Azhar Mohd Jalil of Motul Yamaha YY Pang on 41 points.

The 16-year-old Fitri, who started racing in 2008, believes he is improving with each round and is now on par with defending champion Azhar.

“I think I have improved a lot and now have the ability to challenge him,” he said.
