PETALING JAYA: The national men’s Under-23 football team and the women’s diving duo of Leong Mun Yee-Pandelela Rinong earned due recognition when they were named as winners of the best men’s and women’s team awards last night.
The football team emerged victorious in the Laos SEA Games, beating Vietnam 1-0 in the final in Vientiane to end a 20-year gold medal drought for Malaysia in the series.
