Keeper the hero for Negri as they edge Kedah in shootout

KUALA LUMPUR: Negri Sembilan clinched their second FA Cup title in the 20-year history of the tournament in dramatic fashion when they defeated Kedah 5-4 on sudden-death penalty kicks after both teams were tied 1-1 after extra-time at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil last night.

Negri goalkeeper Sani Anuar Kamsani was the hero in the shootout when he made two saves from kicks taken by Mohd Fazliata Taib (third kick) and the all-important save from the last Kedah kick taken by Mohd Sabree Mat Abu during the sudden-death shootout.
