IT was a simple gesture but meant a lot to Lotus team principal Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes on race day at the Bahrain Grand Prix in Sakhir last Sunday. Clive Chapman, the son of the late Colin Chapman, who founded the British racing marquee decades ago, gave Tony the cap his father used to place on the pit wall. Tony later sat down with Starsport’s LIM TEIK HUAT to relate his perspective of what he hopes to achieve with Lotus Racing.
I GOT a lot of congratulations after both our cars finished. I’m proud for Malaysia and the fact that we took up the challenge to start this team.
