KUALA LUMPUR: Track cyclist Azizul Hasni Awang received a big boost ahead of the World Championships in Copenhagen from March 24-28.
The 22-year-old Azizul from Terengganu bagged the prestigious 2009 Sportwriters Association of Malaysia (SAM)-100PLUS Athlete of the Year Award which comes with a RM10,000 prize yesterday.
