LI Na hailed another major step forward for Chinese tennis after she upset fourth seed Caroline Wonziacki in straight sets to reach the quarter-finals of the Australian Open yesterday.
The 27-year-old 16th seed joined countrywoman Zheng Jie in the last eight, the first time two Chinese players have ever reached that stage of a Grand Slam.
