PETALING JAYA: The success of Russian Elena Dementieva in bagging the Medibank International Sydney title for her first WTA title of the year is a timely boost for the organisers of the Malaysian Open women’s tennis tournament next month.
The Open, which is part of the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, will be held from Feb 22-28 at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian and Country Resort. It will feature some of the current stars and the next generation of champions.
