KUALA LUMPUR: Defending champions Combined Old Boys Rugby Association (Cobra) gave coach Boon Hoon Chee a timely birthday gift when they qualified for the HSBC-Cobra 10s quarter-finals without dropping a point in the group matches at Padang Utara in Petaling Jaya yesterday.
Cobra, powered by five Fijians and two New Zealanders, thrashed RMR Warrior 57-0, Alor Setar Blues 54-0 and Royal Thai Navy 50-0 to top Group D.
