BRUSSELS: Two-time Belgian Cup finalists Mouscron have been stripped of their licence by the Belgian Football Federation (URBSFA), who on Wednesday banned the club from competing in the Belgian championship.
The club – who had already experienced serious financial problems in the 2004-05 campaign – could cease to exist altogether later yesterday when the club’s stakeholders, some of whom have told the press that they will push for the immediate winding-up of the club, hold a crisis meeting.
