SHANGHAI (AP): South Korea's Y.E. Yang says his 2007 HSBC Champions win over Tiger Woods was a major factor in setting up last week's PGA Championship victory over the world No. 1 that made him the first Asian golfer to claim a major championship.
Yang will meet Woods again at this year's HSBC Champions in November, along with defending champion Sergio Garcia of Spain and world No. 2 Phil Mickelson.
