Argentine striker Lopez's wife says she escaped kidnapping

SAO PAULO: The wife of Argentine striker Maxi Lopez said she was the victim of a kidnapping attempt in Brazil.

Model Wanda Nara told Argentine media that a taxi driver who said he was going to escort her to the stadium where her husband was practicing, ended up taking her to a different location and, along with another man, announced the kidnapping.
