MELBOURNE: Allrounder Andrew Symonds had his contract offer withdrawn by Cricket Australia on Friday, a week after being sent home from England for another alcohol-related indiscretion.
Cricket Australia said it had withdrawn its one-year offer for the 34-year-old Symonds that was to begin on July 1, replacing him with fast bowler Shaun Tait on its 25-man list of contracted players.
