LOS ANGELES: Cycling star Lance Armstrong, a testicular cancer survivor and Tour de France champ on the comeback trail, is the father of a newborn son, People magazine reported yesterday.
“Armstrong and girlfriend Anna Hansen welcomed a 7lb5oz, 20-inch-long baby boy named Max, the pro cyclist announced,” according to the magazine’s online edition.
In a posting on his Twitter page Armstrong posted a picture with the caption “Wassup, world? My name is Max Armstrong and I just arrived. My Mommy is healthy and so am I!“
Armstrong had announced last December that he and Hansen were expecting their first child together, according to People.
