Fadly Baharom opened accounts for the reigning champions after 11 minutes. Midfielder Shahrulnizam Mustapha doubled the home side’s lead in the 28th minute after beating Pahang goalkeeper Mohd Remezey Che Ros in a one-on-one situation.
