MOTEGI (Japan): Italy’s reigning world champion Valentino Rossi swept all before him yesterday’s in practice for the Japanese Grand Prix, snapping arch-rival Casey Stoner’s early-season domination.
The Yamaha ace, who finished second behind Australian Stoner in the season-opening Qatar Grand Prix two weeks ago, left it late to edge 0.056 ahead of his rival on the last of his 18 free-practice laps.
