CARDIFF: A football supporter was given a three-year banning order and fined £200 after admitting throwing a “missile” during this month’s Welsh derby between Cardiff and Swansea which saw referee Mike Dean hit on the head by a coin.
However, David Roberts from Pontypridd, south Wales, denied throwing the coin which struck Dean’s head and cut the referee above the right eye during the 2-2 draw at Cardiff’s Ninian Park ground on April 5.
