PETALING JAYA: Rizal Tisin put up an awesome performance to make history as the first Malaysian cyclist to win a medal at the World Track Championships at the BGZ Velodrome in Pruzskow, Poland, on Friday.
Rizal clocked a superb 1:01.658 to become the first Asian cyclist to dip under the 1:02 barrier in the 1km time trial and it was good enough to secure him a bronze medal behind Germany’s Stefan Nimke (1:00.666) and American Taylor Phinney (1:01.611).
