PETALING JAYA: It was a good day for Malaysia’s Julia Wong when she crushed home favourite Saina Nehwal to reach the women’s singles semi-finals of the Indian Open in Hyderabad yesterday.
Malaysia also kept alive their challenge in three other events when Mohd Hafiz Hashim, Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah and Ong Jien Guo-Sabrina Chong checked into the semi-finals of the men’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles respectively.
