Italy seek morale booster, Germany eager to get back on track


LONDON: Italy are seeking a morale-boosting victory at lowly Montenegro today to help show that the apparent decline of their clubs in European competition do not mean a successful World Cup defence is impossible.

Italy are tied at the top of their qualifying group and would like a comfortable game against Montenegro as their labouring players try to find some form ahead of next week’s match-up with co-leader Ireland.
