MUNICH (AP): Bayern Munich eased into the quarterfinals of the Champions League by crushing Sporting Lisbon 7-1 on Tuesday. Lukas Podolski scored twice in the first half as Bayern completed a 12-1 victory on aggregate.
"We wanted to show from the start who is the boss here," Bayern coach Juergen Klinsmann said. "We didn't want to allow any sloppiness and to let them score first." "I think they noticed that. We took the game seriously and we had a lot of fun," he said.
