PETALING JAYA: An eight-year title drought came to an end for Anthony Kang of the United States after he rolled home a short birdie putt at the final hole to beat off a charging pack for a one-stroke victory at the US$2mil Maybank Malaysian Open at the Saujana Golf and Country Club yesterday.
The 36-year-old began the final round two shots behind overnight leader Adam Blyth of Australia but a final round effort of five-under 67 saw him clinching his first European Tour victory.
