KUALA LUMPUR: The country’s elite singles back-up shuttlers will be grounded if they fall short in the German Open, which will be held in Mulheim from Feb 24-March 3.
National chief coach Rashid Sidek has named four men’s singles players — Tan Chun Seang, Liew Daren, Chong Wei Feng and Mohd Arif Abdul Latif — and two women’s singles shuttlers — Julia Wong and Lydia Cheah — for the Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) GP gold tournament, which is one rung lower that the Super Series.
