KUALA LUMPUR: A footballer who played for the national team in the 1990s and a friend of his pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here Monday to getting involved in a fight with four football players of the Air Panas Setapak Sports Club, about two weeks ago.
M. Elangoo, 32, and A. Sathiaseelan, 35, and 10 others who are still at large were charged with assaulting Mohamad Ishak Kunju Mohamad, 37, S. Poovalingam, 37, M. Siva Shanker, 36 and V. Balakrishnan, 39, using hockey sticks and chairs as weapons.
