KUALA LUMPUR: An interim local coach will be appointed to handle the national hockey team if there is a delay in the hiring of a foreigner.
But he will not be Sarjit Singh, whose contract with the National Sports Council (NSC) and the Malaysian Hockey Federation (MHF) as the chief coach of the team will not be extended when it expires at the end of the month.
