PETALNG JAYA: The US$500,000 Iskandar Johor Open (IJO), which is now the second richest golf tournament in the country after the Malaysian Open, is aiming to gain sanction from the European Tour.
The Johor Golf Association (JGA) secretary, Majid Manjit Abdullah, said that the plan was to make the IJO, which begins at Royal Johor Country Club in Johor Baru tomorrow, a jointly sanctioned tournament together with the Asian Tour.
