ZHUHAI: Five-time champion Toshiyuki Hamaguchi proved that he is in fine fettle when he clocked the fastest time in qualifying to claim pole position for the fifth leg of the Petronas FIM Asian Grand Prix at the Zhuhai International Circuit yesterday.
The United Akeno Speed rider, who is third in the overall standings with 100 points, clocked 1:40.098 to show that he is ready to mount a late charge on the two leaders €” Petronas Sprinta Yamaha Malaysia riders Ahmad Fuad Baharuddin (126 points) and Md Zamri Baba (104).
